Archive Exhibition July 2010

Archive Exhibition Poster

Over the weekend of 24/25 July 2010 Stirling Council Archives Service mounted a fascinating exhibition of some of Lecropt Kirk's records which included Session minutes, accounts, communion rolls and ordinations, and even documentation recording the trial of a Lecropt  woman for alleged witchcraft. The display, which also included records and photos currently held by the church, was held in conjunction with the regular summer afternoon teas and attracted a good number of visitors over the two days, both from the congregation and the local area, but also from as far away as New Zealand.

Note. Stirling Council Archives Service is open on Monday to Wednesday and visitors are welcome. Contact them on 01786 450745.

The photos below show church members and visitors studying the display boards on the Sunday afternoon.
